‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ has created a wave that will go down in the pages of entertainment history in the country. The movie has joined the Rs 1000 crore-club by minting Rs 800 crore at the Indian box office and Rs 200 crores at the overseas market. With this Baahubali 2 becomes the first Indian movie to earn Rs 1000 crore worldwide. While the Bahubali team is still celebrating the grand success of the movie, BBC covered the success story of the film referring to it as, “A fantasy epic on a massive scale and is breaking Box Office records not only in India but worldwide.”
SS Rajamouli’s movie collected 13.1 million USD in the United States breaking previous record-holder Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’s 12.4 million USD collection. Actors in the movie include Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj who play important roles. The film also broke the worldwide record of Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ at 743 crore rupees in just six days. The anchor described the movie as “third highest grossing film in the US this week”. The team also had a special screening in London. Rajamouli, MM Kreem and Shobu Yarlagadda had along with their families attended the screening. SS Rajamouli and Anushka Shetty were seen also giving interviews to the channel about the movie.

In the interview, SS Rajamouli alongside Anushka Shetty is seen saying that we have strong characters in India but the concept of superheroes in India is limited to Batman and Superman. He also says while there is nothing wrong in watching those movies but we need to visit our culture. Meanwhile, Guardian film critic, Mike McCahill says the film flexes the muscles of the Indian film industry and shows what it can do on a smaller budget compared to Hollywood. He says the film is made in a quarter of a budget of Guardians of the Galaxy but shows the world what India can do. He also says, “It has been a sensation all over the globe, it has become a phenomenon.” He also said that the movie will be embraced all over the world.
